2016 Auckland Migrant Entrepreneur Forum

Chinese New Settlers Services Trust (CNSST) successfully organised the 2016 Auckland Migrant Entrepreneur Forum on 25 August in West Auckland. The forum was part of Whau Migrant Business Support Programme (WMBS). Through engaging with the local migrant business community in the Whau, the programme aims to improve service delivery and support the migrant business community to establish and grow.

Minister Addresses the Maori, Pacific and Ethnic Support Network Forum

On 5 August at Nga Hau E Wha Marae, the Honourable Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga gave a moving keynote address to Canterbury District Police staff and Māori and Ethnic elders on the occasion of the first Māori, Pacific and Ethnic Support Network Forum Hui in Christchurch.

The Minister strongly encouraged the New Zealand Police to continue its efforts to promote diversity within its ranks in order to reflect the demographics of New Zealand society, increase its community engagement capability and realise its public commitment to the values of diversity and inclusion.

It is with sadness that we heard of Ganges Singh passing, a member of the Auckland City Multi-Ethnic Council and life member of Multicultural New Zealand.

Ganges Singh was a founding member, past president of the Counties-Manukau Ethnic Council, and immediate past president of the now named Auckland City Multi-Ethnic Council and the only life member of the council.
