    The International Asian and Ethnic Minority Health and Wellbeing Conference 2016, hosted by the Centre for Asian and Ethnic Minority Health Research (CAHRE) and eCALD®, will be held on 6 - 7 September 2016 at the University of Auckland’s Tāmaki Campus.

    With a theme of “Working Together to Achieve Better Health Outcomes” the 2016 CAHRE conference brings together health practitioners, service providers, service managers, policy makers, researchers, community leaders and students to share their knowledge and experiences in Asian and ethnic minority health.

  • Lining up Languages

    If you build it, and it’s good, sometimes they really will come.

    That was certainly the case for the Office of Ethnic Communities in Wellington last week.  More than 150 people from around New Zealand gathered at Te Papa for the first ever Lining Up Languages: Navigating Policy and Programmes conference. Aimed at fostering discussion about government policy and activity in relation to language use and learning in New Zealand, the two-day conference brought together a range of speakers from government, academia and the private and not-for-profit sectors to work together to develop language use and learning in New Zealand.

    Wellington played host to its second EPIC NZ conference on 26 June 2014. Approximately 160 people enjoyed an opportunity to make new business connections and to listen to an inspiring line-up of speakers. The conference focussed on the potential in the city’s small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector and the day provided practical advice on how small businesses in New Zealand can ‘make it big’ at home and offshore.
