Applications for the Office of Ethnic Communities Ethnic Communities Development Fund are now open and close on 27 September 2016. There will be one funding round a year. The Ethnic Communities Development Fund replaces what was previously known as Settling In Funding.

The Ethnic Communities Development Fund distributes $520,000 each year to community organisations for initiatives that increase awareness and understanding of their ethnic community, or to promote leadership and social cohesion.

  • Contact your local Department of Internal Affairs Community Advisor or call 0800 824 824 for help with your application
  • Funding is divided across initiatives that fall into the following categories:
      Leadership Development Projects ($100,000)
    • Social Cohesion Projects ($300,000)
    • A further $50,000 is available for any of the three categories at the discretion of the funding panel, giving a total of $520,000 funding each year
