Please note the Language Line booking service will not be available between Friday 23 December and Tuesday 3rd January. The normal booking service will resume from 9am, Wednesday 4 January.

How to use the service

To get an interpreter, visit or telephone a participating agency.

  • Ask for Language Line and the language you want.
  • You will be asked to wait (please do not hang up the telephone).
  • A professional interpreter will join you on the phone, usually within two minutes to help you talk to the agency.
